The challenge
Fixing a message with AI usually means switching windows, pasting, waiting and copying back. FatFingers is a floating assistant in the style of Spotlight: open it with a shortcut, press Enter to improve the text and it goes back where you were typing.
What we built
- Actions: correct, professional, shorten, friendly, quick reply and a custom instruction.
- Rewrite and translate in a single step.
- Bring your own AI provider. Calls go out from Rust, never from the UI.
- The API key lives in the system keychain, with no telemetry or history.
- Builds for macOS, Windows and Linux.
