The challenge
PortalTrip was the capstone of the Globant Talento Ready and Desafío Latam Java course. We use it to show a complete booking system: an Astro frontend and a Spring Boot REST API that connect locally with no configuration.
What we built
- Destination catalog with search, filters and pagination served by the API.
- Server-side quotes based on destination, trip type, passengers and insurance.
- JWT passport with welcome credits; each user sees and manages only their own bookings.
- Domain rules and booking state transitions validated in the backend.
- API documented with OpenAPI and deployed with Docker on Coolify.
